Get a team of developers to build a solution for YOUR business case - in one day - for free.

Feb 20th 08:30 - 10:30

AWS Sweden HQ

Malmskillnadsgatan 36, Stockholm

Welcome to a fun and inspiring breakfast for business and tech leaders!

The Network Outage Resilience Hackathon

Couchbase is hosting the Network Outage Resilience Hackathon on March 10th at AWS Sweden HQ.

Developers will be trained and challenged to build systems that continue to work seamlessly when the network goes down or becomes very slow - then syncs automatically with the data center when the network comes back up.

Building such a system used to be super difficult. Couchbase provides this capability through XDCR and mobile synchronisation, out of the box which means that you can build such a system quickly and easily.

Would you like to contribute with a real-world idea?

Our developers want to build interesting, meaningful applications that make a difference for real companies! Do you have a business case? We will build a solution for you - for free!

Sounds interesting? Join our breakfast seminar where we will provide inspiration and guidance on how to submit a real-world idea to the hackathon.

How it works:

→ You submit your business case. We help you formulate an idea at the Breakfast Seminar, February 20th.

→ We build a solution for you at the hackathon on March 10th at AWS Sweden HQ

→ You leave with a working prototype

Why Network Resilience Is Mission-Critical

Critical systems must be always on and responsive. Even slight performance degradation causes immediate operational disruption and user complaints.

Most systems depend on continuous network connectivity. When connectivity is lost or degraded, operations stop. Building systems that continue functioning during network outages provides operational continuity.

Industries Where Network Resilience Is Critical:

  • Financial Services - Transactions must complete even without connectivity

  • Retail - Restocking, inventory, and POS systems need to work offline

  • Manufacturing - Production lines can't stop when the network fails

  • Logistics & Transportation - Drivers need route data and delivery confirmation

  • Field Services - Technicians require access to systems in remote locations

  • Hospitality - Guest services on cruise ships, flights, remote locations

Reviews From Executives

IKEA, H&M, Saab, TetraPak, ASSA ABLOY, PwC, Tele2, Alfa Laval, BabyBjorn and many more have all joined our hackathons with real-world ideas. Here are some reviews:

"What an event! Amazing to work with a team to improve a process that actually matters! Best hackathon so far. Inspiring to experience what is actually possible to achieve in one day. Already looking forward to next time."

- Peter Sundström, AI & Digital Transformation Manager, Saab

"A very fun and rewarding hackathon where you could create tangible business value with minimal time investment. We brought a complex challenge and left with a clear solution, thanks to fantastic support and really skilled participants. Very well organized! We are currently exploring how we can move forward and implement the solution at Tele2. Thank you for letting us participate!"

- Emma Larsson, Process Excellence Manager, Tele2

"Truly a fun and focused experience. I came in as a leader with a big idea and left with proof: vision aligned fast, a small and committed team hit the ground running and delivered innovation, and business value was demonstrated in days; any executive with a great idea should join!"

- Srinivasa Kiran Kondaveeti, Product Manager, ASSA ABLOY

“The Hackathon gave me more of an advantage and knowledge about AI in one day than meetings and presentations about AI do. Building together with developers around a critical business problem is incredibly powerful. This is AI and modern development for real. Pace, focus and real challenges in an awesome environment. The best environment I know for leaders to quickly test, learn and make valuable connections.

It's actually hard to describe in words how great this is. You have to experience it and in that moment you're hooked. Addictive like nothing else! This is really something I'll do again.”

- Martin Weibull, CEO, Intelliplan

"Joining the AI Business Value Hackathon was a truly fun and energizing experience. I signed up because I wanted to explore how AI can translate ambitious business ideas into real, tangible solutions – and the hackathon delivered exactly that. Working side‑by‑side with talented developers created the perfect blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on innovation. If you're an executive with a great idea, this is the place to turn it into something real!"

- Tina Thelénius, Communications and Change Manager, PwC Sweden

"This hackathon compresses innovation. You validate business ideas, technology, and collaboration models at the same time, with immediate feedback. For leaders who want fast, concrete learning rather than slides, it's a powerful format.

What you are doing goes far beyond a 'hackathon format.' You have become a leading actor in Sweden when it comes to compressing innovation into something tangible, learnable and real."

- Kenneth Pernyér, Strategic Foresight - AI Technology Management, ASSA ABLOY
