Welcome to Edge Resilience Hackathon
Join us for an inspiring hackathon filled with great networking, hands-on experience with game changing tech and innovative solutions.
Free of charge: Food, beverages and fika included.
The Challenge: Build an enterprise system that continues to work when the cloud is not accessible.
You will be trained and challenged to build systems that run at full speed everywhere—on factory floors, in warehouses and distribution centers, at retail checkouts, in delivery trucks, on cruise ships, or 30,000 feet in the air. The systems must process data locally, run AI on-device, and sync automatically across networks. When connectivity returns, all changes automatically sync back to central systems.
Leading Nordic companies have submitted real-world business cases for the teams to work on.
The Game-Changing Technology We Are Exploring
Couchbase Edge and Mobile make it possible to build such systems quickly and easily. Applications function fully without cloud dependency—data, logic, and AI all operate locally. Devices can even sync directly with each other when internet is unavailable. When connectivity returns, everything automatically syncs back to the cloud.
Companies that use this technology include SpaceX, UPS, Emirates Airlines, United Airlines, Salling Group, Starling Group, Centrica, Tesco, Amadeus, Carnival, and Dominos Pizza.
Team Up With Leading Nordic Companies
You will team up with leading Nordic companies to build systems that continue to work when the cloud is not accessible. Executives from leading companies have submitted real-world business cases for you to work on. This is an opportunity to work with industry leaders and make a genuine impact.

Reviews From Developers
“I'd say a 2Hero hackathon is where technology and business problems meet, exactly what we need in this wave of AI adoption by businesses.”
“The hackathon has been a great opportunity to bridge talents and needs. It provided a platform for devs and businesses to collaborate and deliver real value using state-of-the-art tools.”
“I wanted to work on a real business problem with people from different backgrounds, not just build a technical demo. The best part for me was the collaboration between developers, business leaders and mentors. It made the experience very practical, fast-paced and highly relevant, and it felt like what real innovation work looks like in practice. It was one of the few hackathons where the focus was truly on business value, not only on technology, and that made the experience very meaningful.”
“I had the privilege of attending what was likely the best hackathon in the Nordics yesterday, and I was amazed by it.”
"Thank you for introducing us to people interested in our idea—it means a lot and opens up great opportunities for us. It was an amazing experience, and we’re grateful for the connections and insights gained. Such a fantastic hackathon!”
“Great energy, talent and real problems to solve. Exactly what a hackathon should be.”
Reviews From Executives
IKEA, H&M, Saab, TetraPak, ASSA ABLOY, PwC, Tele2, Alfa Laval, BabyBjorn and many more have contributed with real-world ideas to our hackathons. Here are some quotes:
“What an event! Amazing to work with a team to improve a process that actually matters! Inspiring to experience what is actually possible to achieve in one day. Already looking forward to next time.
Peter Sundström, AI & Digital Transformation Manager, Saab:
“Truly a fun and focused experience. I came in as a leader with a big idea and left with proof: vision aligned fast, a small and committed team hit the ground running and delivered innovation, and business value was demonstrated in days; any executive with a great idea should join!”
Srinivasa Kiran Kondaveeti, Product Manager, ASSA ABLOY
“Building together with developers around a critical business problem is incredibly powerful. This is AI and modern development for real. Pace, focus and real challenges in an awesome environment. It's actually hard to describe in words how great this is. You have to experience it and in that moment you're hooked.”
Martin Weibull, CEO, Intelliplan
"Working side‑by‑side with talented developers created the perfect blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on innovation.”
Tina Thelénius, Communications and Change Manager, PwC Sweden
“What you are doing goes far beyond a 'hackathon format.' You have become a leading actor in Sweden when it comes to compressing innovation into something tangible, learnable and real. You validate business ideas, technology, and collaboration models at the same time, with immediate feedback. For leaders who want fast, concrete learning rather than slides, it’s a powerful format.”
– Kenneth Pernyér, AI Technology Management, ASSA ABLOY Group
