AI Business Value Hackathon

Team up with developers to build a prototype of an AI-powered solution for your company

Guidelines & Commitment for Hackathon Challenge Submitters

Thank you for your interest in contributing a real-world idea to The AI Business Value Hackathon. Here we outline the process, how to submit an idea, your expected engagement, and the support you'll receive along the way.

AI Business Value Hackathon

In this hackathon leading Nordic companies team up with developers to build AI-powered solutions that unlock real business value. The goal is to solve real-world, business-critical challenges using AI and other game-changing technologies.

When?

Hack Day: February 17th 08:30 - 17:00

Grand Finale & Celebration Dinner: February 18th 16:30 - 20:30

Where?

AWS Sweden HQ, Malmskillnadsgatan 36

Why Should Your Company Participate?

  • Receive a Custom-Built Prototype: A dedicated team of motivated developers will focus exclusively on solving your challenge and building an initial prototype.

  • Experience What’s Possible! There is no better way to grow both professionally and personally than through hackathons. It’s a unique learning opportunity where you'll collaborate closely with developers, gain hands-on experience with game-changing capabilities, and witness an idea transform into a prototype in record time!

  • From Prototype to Funded Product: Through our partnership with AWS, there's a unique opportunity to secure funding to develop the prototype into a full Proof of Concept (PoC) or even a complete product after the hackathon.

The Process: From Idea to Prototype

  1. Submission: You formulate and submit a real-world idea.

  2. Matching: We match your challenge with a development team.

  3. Collaboration: You will work together with the team. You ensure that the solution is relevant, targeted, and impactful.

  4. Finals & Demo: If your team reaches the Grand Finale, you will present the challenge for 1 - 2 minutes, and the team will demo their solution to the jury.

How to Structure Your Idea

We recommend structuring your idea around these three points. Don't worry about having all the answers – this is just a starting point.

1. The Mission Critical Process You Want To Optimize

Briefly describe the process you want to optimize and explain why it is critical to your business success.

2. What is working sub-optimally today?

Which activities in the process do you want to improve dramatically? Improvements should help users succeed significantly better with the mission-critical process.

Here you can describe the key bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or manual steps that negatively impact this mission critical process.

3. The Vision for a Solution

You don't need a ready-made solution — that's what the hackathon is for! Here you can share your vision or initial ideas. In your own words, what would a successful outcome look like?

Your Commitment

  • Kick-off Meeting (1 hour): An online meeting where you present the idea to your team. You will explain why it is mission critical, the current suboptimalities, and your vision for a solution.

  • Participate in a couple of check-ins to guide the team and ensure the prototype aligns with your business goals. Be available to answer a few critical questions.

  • Presence on Hack Day. You join as an integrated part of the team, either in-person or online. This provides unparalleled insight and almost always leads to a better outcome. We highly recommend this for an unforgettable and high-value experience. Of course, you're welcome to step away during the day for important online meetings or phone calls—there's plenty of room and space at AWS!

  • If your team advances to the Grand Finale on December 4th, your participation is required (in-person or online). Before the team's demo, you will have 1-2 minutes on stage to provide context for your ide to the jury.

The Support You'll Receive

Your role is to be the business expert. Our role is to provide all the support you need to succeed.

  • No Technical Expertise Required: Your strength is your domain knowledge of the mission critical process. You do not need any background in coding or product development.

  • Dedicated Support from 2Hero: We at 2Hero are available for all your questions via phone, email, and bookable online meetings.

  • Best Practice Training: We offer online training where we share winning methodologies for collaborating effectively with development teams to create game-changing products.
